Bio:

John R. Gilbert is Managing Director for our Rocky Mountain region from his office in Great Falls, Montana. John works in all areas of business valuation and financial consulting and has testified numerous times as an expert witness on business valuation and financial damages issues and is a Certified Forensic Accountant (Cr.FA).  He specializes in family business and agribusiness valuation and litigation support. He also provides appraisal services for Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOP) and intellectual property including patents, trademarks and goodwill.  

Prior to joining The Financial Valuation Group, John was partner in a Montana CPA firm, specializing in strategic planning, technology consulting, business valuations, and litigation support. John is the editor of the Tax Valuation E-Flash, an electronic newsletter distributed to attorneys, business and other professionals across the United States. He is also the author of a number of articles on valuation issues, one of which was cited by the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He has taught accounting and finance at the college level and has taught Continuing Legal Education seminars on valuation issues.  He has also been a speaker at business valuation seminars around the country,
